WARMIND

FAQ

What Warmind is, what it costs, and what it will do for you at the table.

Is Warmind free?

Yes. Every feature is free — building lists, running battles, syncing between devices, organising events. There is no paid tier and no advertising.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The full builder runs in a browser at warmind.online/builder. There are also native apps in beta: iOS through TestFlight, and Android through a Google Play closed test.

Does it work offline?

Yes, on the mobile apps. The rules data and your rosters live on the device, so you can build a list and run a whole game with no signal. Whatever you change syncs the next time you are online.

Do I need an account?

No. You can build and play without signing in. An account adds syncing between devices, joining organised events, and keeping your battle history.

Can I import a list from another builder?

Yes. Warmind reads the official army app's text export, the New Recruit and WTC tournament formats, ListForge exports and its own share codes. Paste the text or scan a code and the list is rebuilt unit by unit, wargear included.

How do I share a list?

Four ways: plain text in whichever format the other person's app expects, a share code, a QR code to scan across the table, and a formatted image sheet you can paste into a chat.

What does Battle Mode do?

It runs the game alongside you — command points, phases and turn order, primary and secondary scoring with the official caps, stratagem limits, and reminders for rules that only fire in one phase.

Can two players share one game?

Yes. One player starts the battle, the other joins with a code, and scores, command points and rounds stay in step on both devices. Doubles links all four players, and anyone else can watch live.

Can I run a tournament with it?

Yes. Events handle pairings and brackets, collect results from players, score them automatically and publish standings. An organiser can override any result, and their ruling stands.

What data does it collect?

Anonymous usage counts tied to a random id — never your name or email. Army lists become public only when they are actually played in a logged game, and are published with no identity attached. The privacy policy sets out the whole of it.
